In a significant move set to redefine the technological landscape of East Africa’s energy sector, a high-powered delegation from Kunlun Digital Technology Limited, the digital transformation arm of the global energy giant China National Petroleum Corporation (CNPC), concluded a landmark visit to Stabex Group headquarters in Nairobi.

The visit, led by Mr. Gao Bo, Chairman of Kunlun Digital, underscores a deepening strategic partnership between the two industry leaders, aimed at accelerating Stabex Group’s digital and automation transformation.

Chairman Gao Bo opened the dialogues by formally recognizing Stabex Group as one of East Africa’s largest and most dynamic energy companies. He reiterated that Stabex is not merely a client but a “key strategic partner” for Kunlun Digital in the African region.

“This visit is a testament to our unwavering commitment to this partnership and fully demonstrates Kunlun Digital’s high recognition of Stabex’s comprehensive strength and future vision,” stated Chairman Gao. “We are impressed by Stabex’s growth and are eager to align our technical capabilities with their ambitious goals.”

The agenda extended beyond the boardroom, with the Kunlun team embarking on comprehensive site visits to critical Stabex operational facilities. This hands-on evaluation was crucial for identifying precise areas for technological support and collaboration, moving from abstract concepts to tangible, project-based solutions.

The core of the discussions centered on crafting bespoke digital development paths for Stabex’s key projects across its diverse operational sectors. The talks were highly productive, with both parties reaching a significant consensus on multiple cooperation directions.

These are expected to encompass, leveraging Kunlun’s expertise to optimize supply chain logistics, predictive maintenance, and market forecasting, implementing robust digital platforms to enhance operational visibility and control across all business units and finally fortifying Stabex’s digital core against evolving threats to ensure business continuity and data integrity.

Kunlun delegation concluded their site visits by meeting  Stabex Group Chairman who welcomed the team and  expressed his profound gratitude for the recent invitation extended to a Stabex delegation to visit Kunlun’s advanced operations in China, viewing it as a solid affirmation of a long-term, reciprocal commitment.

Group Chairman emphatically reaffirmed Stabex’s dedication to the partnership. “Our collaboration with Kunlun Digital is central to our future strategy,” he declared. “We are committed to leveraging their world-class technical capacity to fundamentally strengthen our internal systems. This is not just about technology; it is about innovation to manage revenue leakages, drastically increase business efficiency, and, most importantly, about genuine capacity building and technology transfer for our people. This is how we will secure our competitive edge for decades to come.”
