KAMPALA, UGANDA (October 13, 2026) — In a landmark fusion of corporate citizenship and cultural preservation, Stabex has officially pledged its support to accompany the Buganda Kingdom on its majestic journey to protect and restore its sacred royal tombs. This historic partnership was solidified today at the Stabex corporate headquarters during a high-profile visit from a distinguished Buganda Royal Family delegation. The visit follows an official courtesy call by Stabex Group CEO Anthony Kuka Cherotich, aimed at strengthening institutional ties and honoring the cultural heritage of the Kingdom.
The royal delegation was led by Mumbejja Sarah Ndagire and Mulangila Dirisa Wasajja, representing the deep historical custodianship of the Buganda Kingdom. They were received by a Stabex executive panel jointly chaired by Public Relations Officer Shadrack Chebet and General Manager Justus Kiptoo, alongside Head of Operations Boniface Kipchirchir and Marketing Manager Nuruh Najjembah.
As the Buganda Kingdom steers the preservation and upcoming inspection of its historic royal tombs, Stabex International joins the journey as a dedicated corporate ally. Both entities brainstormed a series of fantastic, low-impact infrastructural support ideas ahead of the official physical site inspection. These initiatives focus on integrating modern, low-impact solar energy installations to provide safe, sustainable illumination for visitors and caretakers without altering the spiritual or historic aesthetics of the site. Furthermore, the teams discussed formulating non-invasive, specialized fire suppression systems and dedicated water reserves engineered specifically to shield traditional thatched architectures from structural hazards. To elevate the site’s profile, plans are in place for upgrading pathways, resting zones, and information centers to create a classic, world-class experience for international and local cultural tourists, while simultaneously strengthening boundary perimeters with eco-sustainable landscaping to preserve the sacred native flora that has enclosed the grounds for generations.
A joint physical inspection of the royal tombs will take place in the coming days to assess structural priorities and map out a formal execution timeline. General Manager Justus Kiptoo noted that Stabex is profoundly honored to walk this journey alongside the Buganda Kingdom, viewing themselves not merely as sponsors, but as active partners dedicated to protecting the timeless cultural treasures that define Uganda’s identity.
In response, Mulangila Dirisa Wasajja welcomed Stabex International to the path, emphasizing that preserving these sacred landmarks is a continuous journey requiring mutual respect and vision to ensure the legacy of their ancestors remains protected and vibrant for generations to come.
